When you apply for international health insurance, we review your application carefully before confirming your coverage.

Here’s what that process looks like, in simple terms.

1. Check your application details

First, we make sure everything is complete so we can move forward without delays.

We’ll review the personal information you’ve provided and check that all required confirmations (like payment details) are in place. If something is missing, we’ll reach out to you.

2. Review your health information

Next, we look at the health details you shared in your application.

This includes any past or current conditions, treatments, or ongoing care. If we need more information to understand your situation, we may ask you for additional medical documents.

The goal here is simply to get a clear and fair picture of your health.

3. Assess your individual risk

Based on your health information, we determine how your application fits within our coverage guidelines.

This helps us understand whether your plan can be offered:

  • at standard conditions

  • with adjusted terms (like a higher monthly price or exclusions)

You don’t need to worry about how this is calculated—we’ll always explain the outcome clearly.

4. Communicate a decision

At this point, we’ll let you know the result of your application.

There are three possible outcomes:

  1. Accepted as standard – your policy starts with no changes

  2. Accepted with adjustments – for example, a higher contribution or certain exclusions

  3. Not accepted (or postponed) – if the risk is too high at the moment

If your offer includes adjustments, you can always decide whether you’d like to accept it.

5. Document everything clearly

We keep a clear record of your application and the decision made.

This ensures transparency and helps us support you properly later on—especially if you ever need to use your insurance.

6. Your policy is issued

Once everything is approved and confirmed:

  • You’ll receive your insurance documents

  • Your policy becomes active

  • You’ll see your coverage details in your account

From that point on, you’re ready to use your insurance according to your plan.

What this means for you

Most applications are straightforward, and we aim to make the process as smooth as possible.

If we ever need more information, we’ll guide you step by step. And if anything is unclear, you can always reach out—we’re here to help.
